Have to be brief, keep putting this off but wanted to write.
I had determined that this teaching year I would be here focused on Spanish and will make ever effort to meet people.
Upon my return I went out with Robbie and we met two firefighters. Guillermo commented that earlier that day he had posted an ad looking for an English teacher. We exchanged contact info, but I did not think anyting of it. Nor would I have even spoken to him if Robbie had not initiated an exchange.
Guillermo phoned yesterday and we made plans to meet. He took me to a private club where he is a contributing artist. It seems to be similar to group of beatniks although 21st century type.
It was another amazing and fun time here in Spain. I total stranger, takes me into his confidence, brings me to his secrete club, introduces me to his friends; we listen to poems, stories and music all night - all for my benefit to learn Spanish.
BTW - Work stated Monday - work by base of 16hours per week. Think I have at least another 6 hours lined up - all work is MOnday through Thursday with Friday/Saturday/Sunday off
First two weeks have started out well!
