Lunes 12 junio 2010 a las 19,33h

Hola,
Last week was an interesting week, not much happening with very little work and the group scattered as we all settle into various summer plans. I managed to bike two days - Monday and Wednesday - biking in this heat in the hills is exhausting but a blast too, not to mention good for my health (if my heart holds out).

Working on spending time with Spainish - having to get up at 06,45h each day limits my night time options. Still having an issue meeting people, but will resolve this...
Then on Wednesday night the Spanish class went to a bar to watch the semi-final futbol match. First time ever Spain made it to the semi-final, winning it put them into the final, which took place last night.

Friday night Anna & I went to hang out at the bar where Jose S. works - Devon was to join us, but never made it. Anna & I had good conversation and quality time. Saturday I had lunch with Devon & Anna in Tirso Marino plaza - nice time. Then at night - alone - no plans - free to do just about anything - I went home at mid-night. Watched 2 episodes of True Blood - LOL I enjoyed!

Sunday - I went hiking in the hills alone. Had a nice Equadorian lunch and got home in time to clean up for the BIG GAME. Went to Rios Rosas to await Peter & Jessie getting back from BCN and see the game together. They arrived at half-time and we all witnessed Spain win the World CUP - FIRST TIME EVER!!

We rushed to SOL to celebrate with the city. It was amazing how many people were there - doing crazy things - but no violance and distruction - just wild celebrations!! It was wonderous to be a part of this historical time in Spain. It temporarially wipped away everyone's personal issues - as they revelled in the excitment.

All in all I nice stress free and relaxing weekend - woven with the thrill of a victorius Futbol team!!
Mario arrives tomorrow, he is here visiting family on holiday - we should be hanging out tomorrow night for a bit.

Well, gotta run to Spanish Class - more later
Hasta luego
Beto
