Hola,
All is grand in the world - clocks have been adjusted on both sides of the Atlantic - we are in sync again. I can now go to work in day light (for about a month) and return in darkness.
And it looks like our warm weather is coming to a close as it is cooler today.
Last week was a short one - had 4 days off, worked 3 - now off 3 - will work one - off one - work two - off 3 - have to leave a note for when I wake up to know if I have to get dressed or not.
Been thinking much about the journey lately and wondering ... Then, as in the past, I am reminded of the good times I have and continue to have here. Went out to San Agustin on Monday had lunch with Juan P. and then I biked while he ran. Great day with a good friend in the country. The wind was blowing so hard it pushed me along when at my back, which of course made the return trip all that more difficult.
Friday got a message to shoot pool, met up with Robbie at 6 and had a couple pints and played poorly after the first game. But we had fun. After, we went to Bilbao for eats and we were just hanging out when Paul walked by - causing a contradiction to our discussion on how big and "western" Madrid is as a city.
We grabbed a couple more beers in the plaza with Paul - and later meet up with Brady & Ryan. We hit Malasana for more ... All lending to a long night of bar hopping, drinking and laughter - out of a very casual, impromptu game of pool.
Normally my three day weekends seem short, yet always glad to have the extra day. This weekend seems to be going slow. A fellow teacher told me of a web sight for meeting people for language exchange. I have meet one new person and enjoy our chats time. Will meet a 2nd person this afternoon. I also put an ad on longo bongo and found someone to trade Eng class for Spanish class - this will fill my Tuesday/Thursday free time.
Guess that is it for now.
