Ops - been a while - sorry -
I have a feeling this is going to be the norm.
They say be careful what you wish for, I git it - Hours of work! Very busy Monday through Thursday, 1/2 day on Friday (ha ha ha ha ha ha) 1/2 day on Friday - that is funny!
How can someone who only works part time say its a 1/2 day ....
Actually, Monday and Wednesdays are long - I leave the (current) apartment by 7.40h to begin teaching at 8.30h. I only teach 5.5 hours each day, but I have to travel and finish at 18.30 toand I am home by 19.15. About 12 hour days, but only working 5.5 -the rest is my time or on the metro.
Tuesdays and Thursdays I currently leave at 7.25, teach from 8.00h to 11.00h (1/2 in between) then 3.5 hours free, then teach again for an hour. These are 3.5 hour days plus commute and a chunk in the middle.
However, all of this changes next week - I am moving tomorrow!!!! so my commute times will change; and today I was offered a new gig north of the city. 2 hours each day Tuesday & Thursday with my best paying Academia. I will have to drop Jose Angel, but he said he would understand if I found a better paying position, which I did!
This means if no one cancels, I will work 22.5 hours each week!!! very exciting. Only, I may lose Angel who I teach daily 1.5 hours = 5.5 to 7.0 hours each week. Once he accomplishes his goal we end the classes. I will need to replace his hours when that happens.
I am looking forward to living in a place where I hope to fit in and feel comfortable. I have just spent the past 3.5 months in the room, alone - actually have not watched television since I moved here. I have seen it, but not watched anything.
The new place is in the center of the city and I will ahve a closer walk home after being out!!
Well, gotta run, busy day tomorrow.
