Wow - been a while - I need to do the updates more frequently so they are not as long.

Okay - Thanksgiving was incredible - the food was just like home cooking - well it was home cooked! Turkey, smashed potatoes, gravy, Stuffing, sweet potatoes, green beans, brussel spouts, mac salad, salad, corn bread, beer, wine, cakes: Amazing - in that little kitchen with hardly a pot and pan - David did a great job!!! Everyone ate more than we should have, but so worth it to be together and sharing stories of teaching and eating good food!
Slept in this morning - 9:00 - I have accomplished two more steps in setting myself up in Madrid. Bought my Metro pass for the month of December - expensive, but so much value if you are on the rail & buses a lot, which we are. Also, opened a bank account - so I can Get or Cash my first two checks next week!!!!! So excited - This is like a big deal and step toward being a part of the system in Spain.
As for work, I shared that I taught 14 hours the first week. Well this week was only 9 hours, but from what I can tell in the group that is about where everyone is too. We all have things in the works and hope every day that we land another job. I would have had 14 hours if 2 of my new clients had used my time this week. Got a call today for an interview. They are way out west subburb - going just to see what the offer is about.
My client Jose referred me to a friend, but she is not available until 6:30pm - I am not killing 3 hours waiting for her to get home. too bad.
Tonight we are celebrating Patrick's birhtday - not certain what is in store, certain it will be a late night! The rest of the weekend I do not have any plans - but need to make ceratin I get out of the house.
