Have you missed me - LOL -
The primary reason I have not written is because I was on vacation - yes! Vacation from my part-time work here in Madrid.
I went to Valencia, 4 hours by bus to the east, on the coast. It is a very old city, clean with an old section that is very historic. Many civilizations have lived in this area of Spain.
What is interesting is that there is a river bed the runs along 1 or 2 sides of the old center, but there is no water inthe river. Humans have always settled near water, if that was true of Valencia - what happened to the water?
It also has a very beautiful beach that is clean and looks like it will be fun inthe summer.
I was there trying to determine if I wanted to try to live in a smaller city - I still do not know.
The city is very different than Madrid and I am not certain I am ready to slow down that much - or am I???
The thoughts are: if I can get the base hours there I would need, I might try it from September to the end of December.
This week is slow for me - short about 7 hours so far. But it gives me breathing time to get my pay and work on Spanish.
This coming weekend I am not aware of any plans - will try to see if anyone will go to Avila with me. If not, I might just go alone ~
