Hola,
Well, that idea did not flourish, did it? I wanted to report the activities each day for a week, as they happened - in case this turns into a book - lol.
The reason for not writing is that there is so little free time I never feel like writing.
The week turned out to be normal - Jose Maria cancelled Wednesday too, but we managed to have a class on Friday. Angel cancelled Tuesday without notice so i got paid, but then cancelled Wed & Thursday with notice so no pay. Lost 5 hours between the two.
Went to Marta's house both Monday & Wednesday and was told there would be no class; got paid but it is a pain in the ass to get up, get dressed go all the way there and have to turn around and come home. I am phoning her on Monday - :-)
Then on Wednesday, because I was getting frustrated about losing hours, i received a text offering me 3 more hours a week in a time slot I was free - so I accepted.
Then asked - WHY? well, as it turns out this new student travels a lot, therefore cancels also.
My potential hours are up to 25.5, but I may never work that many in one week. Would be interesting if I do.
Spanish class is going well - combined with the intercambios - so I feel like I am getting better.
But I have so much to memorize.
After my intercambio on Friday I had some nice quiet time at home. Phoned Dave to say happy birthday. Went to Spanish and after I walked over to visit my friend David from Columbia. We worked on his English while he supplied beer . Fun way to teach!
While there I contacted Peter & Jessie and ended up meeting them, the brothers and Anna near Tribunal. After Paul arrived we went to another place and I had a chat with a stranger. We closed that place and ended up wandering the streets drinking street beers and laughing.
We found ourselves on a corner at 3:30am as a group, one of 6 such groups - just doing street beers and talking. We met 3 young people from the southeast of Spain. Had a challenge understanding them due to the Andalusian accents - but we all communicated in some form of dialog.
Home at 4am and dragging today. Had an intercambio from 12 to 14.30h - David cancelled his English lession - now I am waisting time until dinner with Maria Jose and Carlos - Javier and Jesus and someone else at 20.30!
I am hoping to make it an early night - LOL ....
Okay that is my story for today -
Thanks for reading -
hasta luego
Beto
