Kettle of Stew

Hi - trouble with a title for today -

Call it -

etc. etc.

First apartment tour this morning was in the projects, but at least it was clean and did not stink.
Then was flirted with at Star Bucks (yes I had to go there)
Met Carlos and we went to EBC Servicios - met the director, who could not believe I was having bumps in the road. Not certain why - most people I have met or spoken to have had or heard of similar stories. But it is all a part of the experience in moving to a different country.

C & I ran around the area, then the University area looking for Apt. ADs - nothing came of it.
We then got me a phone with VODAFONE - Even though I had confirmed my SIM card had arrived - but I did not have a phone to put it in ...so now I have two SIM cards one Spain phone and one US Phone - any one want to buy a mobile?

Well, I was loosing control and my temper because it was getting to be after 2pm and I had not eaten - I do not necessarily need to eat a lot, but I need something after 6 hours. C left and I eat -
Spent 2.5 hours looking at ads on the web - then drank a beer while calling from my new Mobile outside on the walk!! MUCH nicer than standing up feeding huge amounts of Euros into the public phones monsters.

Went to view the only room option that invited me ...
They are a couple who have been together for 37 years - I think Eduardo is Spanish and Carmen is from Venezuela. They decided to rent out their spare room ...
350 EUROs includes utilities, she will wash my sheets ... come and go as I please and use the kitchen, living room and laundry.
LOVE the neighborhood and E&C seem very nice. I can walk to classes.

For a moment or two I questioned myself on this decision, but I figure - made one change, why not change my living style too ... try it for 4 or 6 moths and see how I do.

Went to Antonio's for dinner - it was nice -

Now it is 2:30 am and I have to relocate tomorrow!!!! and do all of my prep-work for school. More busy times ahead.

NOTE: I learned tonight that when we were out on Saturday night I was speaking with a famous hollywood director - who has a movie coming out this weekend - and we think it was his birthday being celebrated - so that I got birthday cake that night!! Cool!
