SAT Night - 24OCT

Hey all ...
I know, it has been a few days - Reasons:

> Was really really busy with school - only got 4 hours sleep each day - challenging, but necessary.

> The couple I live with continue to have issues with the WIFI and we were not connected for almost two days. All better now ... thank goodness

I am back and trying to remember everything I wanted to write about.

Friday marked 3 weeks in Madrid - when I was walking to class I realized - Hey, I am living in Spain! - Wow ... what a wild feeling and thought - that I am actually doing it ....
Yesterday also marked the 1/2 way point at school - two weeks to go ...

I really hope I get the Great Job and have some fun!

To mark the end of the week - about 10 of us went out for beers after our teaching sessions, then we all went home. We met back up at 9:00 pm (it was Spainish time - 9:40) I was On US Time.

When will I learn .. he he ..

We went to two places for more beers and Tapas - it was fun - we all enjoy each other's company. Nice people. Maria from WI is 55 and just here to get the certificate, recently divorced housewife. John from Oxford maybe early 20's; Paul 22 from Fargo - YES Fargo, ND - schooled in SEA; Anna from Wales - early 20's; Erica mid 20's was living in PIT, but from Towson, MD (her BF is here too - David); a couple - Peter 22 & Jessie 22 from ATL; Cara from LAX (originally form Georgetown, MD)- just spent two years in East Asia teaching - could not get work in US - so here; Devon from Long Island - schooled at SU.
The ones not with us- my buddy Robert (Robo) from Dublin; Maria from Spain and Karina from NJ.

One really cool thing that happened - Peter said he thought I was 30 - Yes - stop laughing - he said 30 - Really
I had to show him my license -
John said that I am a lot different, interesting and fun than the friends of his father! :-)~

Those if us together last night - after the two tapas bars met up with this guy William who spends time at the school - we do not know if he actually works there. William and his friends - 18 to 20 took us to "CAT" a "disco" about 12 minute walk from Moncloa metro.

The place is nuts - mad house of peole trying to get in - but one of these young guys works there and got us by the line - VIP - treatment - LOL - LOL - from someone young enough to be my grandson ... Histerical. I have no idea where the energy came from last night - I was existing on 3 nights with only 4 hours nap each night - but I lasted until 2:30 am - Erica & Dave left just before me - the rest got home at 6am ... maybe they waited for the metro to open.

Over-all it was fun - because of my class mates - but being in the club with kids that look like they are Kevin's age (my nephew) .. was weird as shit.

Today - I was in bed until 11:00 am - ops - had work to do - oh well. Went to Maria's to hang at the pool - was the only one to show up for the 1st two hours - then Erica arived - I missed Jessie & Peter's arrival. Where Maria lives is really nice - it is corporate housing - so expensive.

Just finished my interview of someone who wants to learn English - she is really nice, a friend of my land lady.

Speaking of my landlady - I may not make it until the end of the year.
She has a lot of rules that I do not care to participate in ... but it is a nice situation, so we will see.
When I land the job and have that contract - I will get my own place.

Well I bet you are bored by now ... I will let you go -
